The Blog

I have tried to maintain a blog in the past and this is no different.  However, what does differ with this one is that I intend it to be a repository of current experiments andpieceingtogether theoretical arguments here in Winona, Minnesota.

This begins near my 60th birthday, as I wait for my dear wife, Negin Ehtesabian to immigrate after nearly two years, due to a dreadful miscalculation of circumstances on my part, but that's all I'll say.  We hope she will be here soon.

The main function this blog is to act as a placeholder for brief discussions of my work and times that just aren't documented. I probably have done 4-5,000 pieces of media, about 30 in collections, over 30 years. This is the reason for the self- deprecating "Finally a Pioneer" title, Which I used to use with a little bit of a scoff until Roman Verostko told me how groups like SIGGRAPH gave Pioneer awards, and my more experienced colleagues with this title now get my respect. I think this is common of any American generation who does not really understand the depth of generations before them.

As I hit 60, I do. I'm impressed.

I hope I can share some worthwhile things with you.
